Three Volcanoes Challenge December 2023 – Kidney Donor Athletes to summit three volcanoes in Guatemala over 8,000 ft in one week to show the world there are no limits post donation. The KDA One Kidney Climb continues with 18 amazing kidney donors pushing themselves to send a message to all the world:

“The purpose of this climb is to show people around the world that it’s possible to thrive on one kidney,” said Tracey Hulick, founder of Kidney Donor Athletes.

“Something that’s important to all of us is to normalize kidney donations,” Patty Graham, said. “We’re not heroes, we’re normal people. We lead normal lives.”

To promote the gift of life through living donation, 18 kidney donors will represent Kidney Donor Athletes (KDA) and summit three volcanoes in Guatemala! KDA is using this climb to bring awareness to living donation, demonstrate what is possible post-donation, and to launch initiatives which inspire, support and educate people about the experience of living donation. We envision a world where there are enough living donors to meet the needs of all who require a life saving kidney transplant.
