Kidney Donor Athletes
FAQ
I am donating my kidney soon and I’m nervous! Is that normal?
A: Yes! It is completely normal to be nervous or anxious as your donation date approaches! To ease your nerves, you can read the stories of other kidney donors on our website or join our private Facebook group where you can interact with more than 300 other donors who have been in your shoes. How can I get involved?
A: We’re happy you want to help! A great way to get involved is to submit your story to become one of our featured athletes. These stories have inspired many people to donate and help ease the fears of folks that are in the process of donating. You can find that information here.
A second way to get involved is to be a mentor! You can be a friend to someone in the donation process to talk with them and be a resource as they navigate their donation. If you’d like to be a mentor please fill out this Google form. Every detail you can provide us better helps us pair people with specific mentor requests.
A third way to get involved is to volunteer with one of our working committees! You can find the information on our committees along with instructions on how to let us know you’re interested on our Facebook page.
I have a big event coming up and I am making a playlist – any suggestions?
A: Yes! We have a KDA playlist here on Spotify!
Where can I get a KDA t-shirt?
I live outside the United States. Can I order KDA gear?
All of our gear is available for international shipping! Visit our year-round store and our KDA Team Store for options!
